Provision and Patience

These past few weeks have brought much celebration and some frustration. Lets start with the good! The Lord has richly provided the finances necessary for us to have clean drinking water. We are blessed and humbled by the generosity of our supporters, and thankful that soon we may be able to check this one worry off of the list. We have decided to start a contract with the water company as opposed to digging a new well for a few reasons. This decision has come with its own challenges and we are currently responsible to track down the landowners nearby to ask for permission to dig and bury the pipes. Please pray that these individuals would agree to allow this, and quickly!

November 10th is global orphan Sunday, a day set aside for churches to focus on praying for the orphans in their communities and focusing on remembering God's heart for them. I have had the privilege of distributing prayer cards and printed materials in the Korce region. It is exciting to see the local churches coming together to focus on this vulnerable population.

Unfortunately, our court date on the 31st of October did not go to plan. The first issue was that the court failed to formally notify the children's birth father about the hearing. There was also an attempt made by the orphanage staff to further stall the process through the filing of some duplicate documents. All of the professional incompetence has ultimately led to the case being pushed back to November 26th. Please pray that these document issues would be resolved by the court as soon as possible, and that the judges would recognize the significance of their work. We continue to visit the kids when we can and prepare our home and hearts for their arrival.

On the 13th of this month, our German social work partners will arrive in Albania for another planning trip regarding the opening of the Sparrow Center. Please pray that we would make significant progress as we determine which services we can offer from the center at the outset, and how to effectively implement them.

Please let us know how we can be praying for you!
