Foster Care Milestones and Setbacks
We wanted to provide a quick update regarding our court hearing that took place on the 19th of September. We are so thankful that all went smoothly, and the judge decided that the children should move into our house within the following 15 days. Unfortunately, when the paperwork was released from the court, it had quite a few errors. Our lawyer has submitted a request for the corrections, but this will require a new court date in order to reflect the corrections on the official record. We are waiting to be given the new date. Once that occurs, it should be another 15 days until we receive physical placement of the kids. Until then, we are only allowed to visit the kids between 11:30 and 12:30 on certain days. Please pray that this would be quality time, however limited it may be. Pray with us that the court workers would be motivated to do their jobs and schedule the necessary hearings with expediency.
