Five Year Financial Update
It feels wild to write, but we are approaching five years of life and ministry in Albania! We moved in January of 2021, and these years have been filled with so much joy, beauty, heartache, and toil. We figured it was time to provide you, our supporters with a dedicated financial update.
We have seen the Lord's hand of provision in inexplicable ways and have been shocked and humbled more times than we can count. At this time, we are still operating off of our initial budget that we created as a couple with a baby, and have found that this is no longer sufficient. We have also had some monthly supporters discontinue giving due to career changes and/or the Lord calling them to give elsewhere. Thankfully, timely one-time gifts have carried us through and the Lord always makes it clear that He will continue to provide as we continue to live out our calling in Albania. Now that we are a family of six, it has become clear that we need to rework our budget, with more mouths to feed and an increase in daily expenses. There have also been many significant one-time expenses that came along with our foster children, including extensive dental work and U.S. Visa costs. As a result, our savings have been largely depleted. Please pray with us as we decide whether or not this support-raising endeavor would require a trip back to the States.
We want to be clear that we are so thankful for the consistent trust in our ministry here and thank the many who have been faithful to help allow us to continue to serve here in Albania. We are seeing the Lord bless our ministry here and open new doors. Our home is not yet complete, but we are now able to feel at home and even host visitors. The process of making this building a home has been possible because of the generosity of many of you.
To continue our ministry with less concern for longevity, we are hoping to both increase our monthly giving by $1,000 a month. We would like to cover this through consistent monthly commitments, as well as some one-time gifts to allow us to move forward with more house renovations.
